On April 28th 2000, I played for the first time a Chapmanstick solo recital of completely new material to an (invited) audience. The performance comprised of two forty-five minute sets. All the material was brand new and consisted of 20 pieces which I specifically composed for my new MIDI Chapmanstick. The music draws on new techniques I've developed and pushed my abilities to new levels of skill and diversification.

The MIDI stick is a truly versatile instrument and enables me to play both bass guitar, lead guitar and any amount of synthesizers, all at the same time! I run 3 back lines, one for distorted and clean guitar sounds, one for distorted and clean bass sounds and a stereo keyboard amplifier for synthesizer sounds. The effect is overwhelming.

Following the recital the first night of a proper solo performance took place in May 2000 in Tampere/Finland and then again at at The Troubadour Coffee House, London. The performances received extremely positive reactions from the audiences as well as from the media.
