"From Kajagoogoo through the arts"
(it's not really possible to translate, but it means that you work in different arts)

Nick Beggs, who was in the beginning of the 80ies the singer, bassist and Chapmanstick player of the British Kajagoogoo-hitband which also had a conspicuous fashion, comes on the 5th of May to Tampere's Tulliklubi to tap on the just mentioned, somehow to a guitar related instrument. We are talking about Beggs' first Chapmanstick solo concert, in which he will perform his own, specially for this instrument composed pieces of different styles of music. On top of that, a collection of Beggs' drawings and paintings will be exhibited in the Main Library of Tampere "Metso" from the 25th of April until 13th of May. The exhibition also shows Beggs' personal items, such as clothes for example.

After Kajagoogoo, Beggs has worked in a lot of different areas; he worked as producer, musician and musical director, to mention from the whole world with: Gary Numan, Cliff Richard, Tina Turner, Michael Bolton, Marillion, and with many others. He worked at Phonogram records as A&R Manager, taught bass and Chapmanstick playing, wrote a TV-series for children, and became also a book illustrator and cartoonist.
